Salmonella Chromogenic Agar

SALMONELLA CHROMOGENIC AGAR is a selective chromogenic medium that allows the presumptive identification of all types of Salmonella, including S. typhi that grows with pink to magenta colonies thanks to the chromogenic mixture. Moreover, the medium allows to distinguish the other enterobacteriaceae, if any is present, giving a unique color and contrasting to the colonies.

Salmonella Chromogenic Agar complies with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 6579 for the research of Salmonella in foods. The medium results should be performed at 24 hours and confirmed after 48 hours.
