Description

Tryptose Agar is a nutrient-rich medium, allowing abundant growth of difficult and fastidious bacteria. Addition of sterile Ram Blood to 5-7% allows to highlights the hemolytic properties of staphylococci and streptococci. It is particularly suitable for the isolation and differentiation of Brucella, but also of Listeria, Meningiococci and other pathogenic organisms.
