Description

Rappaport Vassiliadis Soy Broth (RVS) is a medium used for the selective isolation of Salmonella Spp. from foods and different environmental specimens. This medium is not recommended for the isolation of Salmonella Typhi, in fact it is sensitive to the malachite green presence. Selenite Broth (Cod. 18.0082) is recommended for the selective isolation of Salmonella Typhi.

Rappaport Vassiliadis Soy broth (RVS) formula is in accordance with UNI EN ISO 6579 – USDA_ FSIS – ISTISAN R. 96/35 methods for food analysis and ISTISAN reports 07/5 for potable water.
