Description
Phenylalanine Agar is a medium used for the detection and differentiation of Proteus, Morganella, Providencia from other Gram negative bacteria, due to the ability to produce phenylpyruvic acid from phenylalanine.
PHENYLALANINE AGAR, formulated in accordance with UNI EN ISO 10273:2017 standard, is used for the confirmation test of pathogenic Yersinia enterocolitica. The Phenylalanine (tryptopane) deaminase test reaction for Yersinia enterocolitica is negative.
