Description
Lysine Iron Agar differentiates Enterobatteriaceae according to their ability to decarboxylate Lysine, producing hydrogen sulphide (H2S).
The medium is used according to the FSIS / USDA (SOP MGL 4) method for confirmatory tests (fermentation test) on suspicious Salmonella colonies.
