Description
PLATE COUNT AGAR + TTC is a culture medium non selective for the total bacterial count suitable for the cultivation and enumeration of a large variety of organisms from different food matrices (Milk – Dairy products) and/or from other materials (Water). TTC supplement (2,3,5–triphenyltetrazolium chloride) present in the medium modifies the formulation of the basic medium PLATE COUNT AGAR, required by numerous standardized methods: APHA, AOAC, ICMSF, ISO 4833, ISTISAN Reports 96/35 for the total bacteria count at 30°C in food and by APHA and APAT for counting mesophilic and psychrophilic bacteria in water.
