Description
CF-C Medium is a selective differential medium for E. coli and coliforms, based on the association of a chromogen (X-gal), its inducer (IPTG) and a fluorigenous agent (Mug) in a medium made selective by the presence of bile salts. E. coli grows with blue-green colonies (X-gal positivo) like the other coliforms but differs from others under U.V. light (366 nm, Wood lamp) for an intense blue fluorescent reaction (Mug positivo).
