SABOURAUD AGAR (EMMONS) is a variant of Sabouraud Dextrose Agar Medium, introduced by Emmons.

The reduced content of glucose and neutral pH in Emmon's modification, indeed, appear to increase the growth of some pathogenic fungi, such as dermatophytes.
