Description
TRYPTONE GLUCOSE EXTRACT AGAR (TGE) is a medium-recommended by the APHA for the total count of bacteria in food (milk and derivatives), with the method of inclusion or seeding on the plateS, it is currently used for the total count of heterotrophic bacteria in the bottled waters (APHA).
The formulation is a modification of the agar-milk developed by Bowers and Hucker for the milk and milk products.
