Description

AGALACTIAE CHROMOGENIC AGAR is a selective and chromogenic medium, particularly indicated for the cultivation and isolation of Group B Streptococci (GBS), commonly named S. agalactiae, from clinical samples: Vaginal swab – Rectal swab – Faeces – Urine.

The medium allows an easy and rapid identification of the Group B Streptococci, which thanks to the chromogenic mixture used, gives a characteristic bright pink color to the S. agalactiae colonies.
