Description

Selective Supplement for the isolation of Bacteroides. kanamycin inhibits optional gram-negative anaerobes (enterobacteria) and several other optional bacteria, while vancomycin inhibits gram-positive bacteria. The addition of these antibiotics makes the selective medium for narrow gram-negative anaerobes, such as Bacteroides and Prevotella.
