Description
Agar test pH 8.0 is recommended for the analysis of residues of antimicrobial components in meat and organs samples, using bacillus subtilis (ATCC 6633) and micrococcus luteus (ATCC 9341) as a susceptible test organisms, in the spreading agar procedure and / or for the EEC procedure (four plate test).
The formulation of the Agar Test pH 8.0 complying with EEC requirements, where the tryptone and the meat extract provide carbon, nitrogen and the growth factors necessary for the development of organisms. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic balance of the medium, while Trisodium phosphate performs buffer activity.
