Description

Mueller Hinton Agar + 4% NaCl + Oxacillin is a very nutrient-rich medium, recommended by NCCLS for meticillin-resistance screening in Staphylococcus aureus (heteroresistance). Oxacillin is used instead of methicillin because of its characteristics of greater stability to storage and refrigeration, as well as the more effective in determining the heteroresistance.
