Thayer Martin VCNT medium is used for the selective isolation of pathogenic gonococci, meningococci in clinical specimens. The suplement VCNT contains a mix of antibiotics (Vancomicin, Colistin, Nistatin) that make selective the medium for the isolation of pathogenic Neisserie spp. (N. meningitidis e N. gonorrhoeae)
