Description

The selective supplement, together with tellurium potassium, is indicated by UNI EN ISO 16654:2003 standard to prepare Mac Conkey Sorbitol Agar (CT-SMAC) for the isolation of E.coli O157:H7. Cefixime, together with bile salts present in the medium, totally or partially inhibit the contaminating flora possibly present in the sample, favoring the development of E.coli O157:H7.

The supplement must be added to Mac Conkey Sorbitol Agar base CT-SMAC (Cod. 70.320).
