Description

R2A AGAR is a medium indicated for the enumeration of heterotrophic bacteria in treatment water, able to highlight stressed and tolerant chlorine microorganisms, with prolonged incubation times. The formulation is recommended by European Pharmacopoeia (PE), supplement 4.6, for total bacterial count for injectable preparations.

The medium structure has been designed to reproduce the environmental conditions of natural waters, where bacteria have low levels of nutrients.
