Description

MMGM Broth is formulated for the first time by Folpmers, for the enumeration of coliform bacteria in waters. Over the years, the medium has undergone several changes that have contributed to improving its performance.

The current formulation is in accordance with the directives of the Standing Committee for the Bacteriological Examination of Water Resources and the Ministry of Health for the search of E.Coli in waters, using the MPN method. The medium is not suitable for use with membrane filtration technique. 

In addition, the formulation complies with the requirements of the ISO/TS 16649-3 standard for the enumeration of β-glucuronidase positive E.coli in food with the MPN method.
