Description

Selective supplement for the isolation of Aeromonas hydrophila and other pathogenic species; to be added to Aeromonas Selective Agar Base Ryan (Cod. 70.016) and Aeromonas Havelaar Agar Base (Cod. 70.848). Ampicillin suppresses the contaminating flora without interfering with the growth of Aeromonas. The frequency of susceptible strains of 10 mg/l of ampicillin is less than 1% (Havelaar e coll.).
