Leptospira Medium EMJM Base is prepared in accordance with the formulation described by Ellinghausen and Mc Cullough, recommended by American Society for Microbiology for the isolation of Leptospira spp. from clinical samples.

Leptospira Medium EMJM Base is used for the diagnosis of leptospira from various types of clinical material: blood, urine, spinal cerebral fluid. Leptospirosis is a zoonosis, in fact, domestic and wild animals are the natural reservoir that can infect man directly and / or indirectly (water, ground).

After sterilization, must be added 1 vial of  Leptospira Enrichement EMJH Cod. 76.250.
