Description
Bacteriological Agar is an highly purified agar which produces clear aqueous solutions and do not form precipitate in the presence of other components after autoclaving. The physical and chemical characteristics fall within the limits required by USP.
This agar is suitable as a support in the techniques of immuno-diffusion and electrophoresis is also used for the preparation of culture media for the isolation of microorganisms, and is particularly suitable for studies of sensitivity to antibiotics. In fact, has a concentration very low in minerals, which could affect negatively in the process of diffusion of the antibiotics.
