Description

Brilliant Green Sulfa Agar (BGS) is a highly selective medium for the isolation of Salmonella, except S.typhi, from feces, urine, food, dairy products and eggs. The formulation of the medium is in agreement with the USDA/FSIS requirements for the detection of Salmonella in food (SOP_MLG 4).
