Differential chromogenic selective supplement for the isolation of Listeria monocytogenes from food, according to UNI EN ISO 11290-1/2:2005 - UNI EN ISO 11290-1/2:2017.

A VIAL - LISTERIA CHROMOGENIC SELECTIVESUPPL. is constituted of a mixture of antibiotics containing ceftazidime, polymyxin B, nalidixic acid and cycloheximide which inhibits the contaminating microbial flora by favoring the development of Listeria spp. It is used for the preparation of Listeria Chromogenic (Ottaviani Agosti) Agar in combination with the enrichment supplement Listeria Chromogenic Differential Supplement (B vial).

B VIAL - LISTERIA CHROMOGENIC DIFFERENTIAL SUPPL. is costituted of L-α - Phosphatidilinositol, which is the substrate of phospholipase C, an enzyme of the L. monocytogenes species and some strains of L. ivanovii. L-α - Phosphatidilinositol is used for the differentiation of L. monocytogenes. The supplement is used for the preparation of Listeria Chromogenic (Ottaviani Agosti) Agar in combination with the selective supplement Listeria Chromogenic Selective Supplement (A vial).
